Ponti Organic Unfiltered Cider Vinegar

A lively cider vinegar for your everyday vinaigrettes

Cupboard vinegars sting without telling you anything. This one, organic and unfiltered, keeps a light haze at the bottom of the bottle: a lively acidity at first, then a round apple fruitiness that gives your salads relief.

What you will taste

• Texture: slightly hazy, it coats the salad.
• Aromas: fermented apple, a hint of quince.

How to use it

• In a vinaigrette: one spoonful of vinegar, three of olive oil, a pinch of salt.
• As a marinade for chicken or pork, with garlic and herbs.
• A dash in a pan of vegetables, at the end of cooking.

Where it comes from

At Ponti, everything begins in 1787, when Giovanni Battista del Ponte started selling vinegar in Piedmont. In 1864, Giovanni Ponti, nicknamed “Giuanin d'la Asei”, John of the vinegar, took over the family business. The house has been in Ghemme since 1948, and Giacomo Ponti represents the ninth generation.
