In the evening, you want the ritual of coffee without the coffee. Orzoro is soluble roasted barley, nothing else: a spoonful in hot water or milk, and a soft, round smell of toasted cereal rises from the cup.

Where it comes from

Orzoro was launched in 1940 by Ursina Franck, a maker of coffee substitutes, which merged with Nestlé in 1971. Its instant version is a fine powder of roasted barley, 100% barley. In Italy, barley coffee is drunk at home as well as at the bar.
