Too many chocolate cookies taste like sugared cardboard. Divella's Frollini Cà Cao are cocoa shortbreads, dense and simple: a morning cookie that soaks up coffee without disappearing to the bottom of the cup.

What you will taste

Texture: crunchy at the snap, then shortbread-like to the bite.
Aromas: lightly roasted cocoa, with a discreet milky base.
Taste: bittersweet, neither too sweet nor too intense.

How to use it

Dipped for a few seconds in a very hot espresso or cappuccino.

Where it comes from

Divella was born in 1890 in Rutigliano, near Bari, in Puglia, with Francesco Divella's flour mill. The Divella family still runs the company; in 2020, Poste Italiane dedicated a stamp to it for its 130 years.
