Morelli Pistachio Liqueur – Italian Cream

A pistachio cream to sip after dinner

Want to end a meal on a soft note, without bringing out the everyday limoncello? This pistachio cream, deep green, is silky and bittersweet. It is sipped slowly, well chilled, or poured over ice cream.

What you'll taste

• Texture: creamy and velvety, fluid but with body.
• Aromas: fresh pistachio, earthy and herbaceous notes.
• Taste: round, bittersweet and milky, a lightly toasted finish.

How to use it

• Well chilled, in a small liqueur glass, as a digestif.
• Over a scoop of vanilla ice cream, affogato style.
• In a reinvented tiramisu, with a strong espresso on the side.

Where it comes from

This cream comes from the Morelli house, a liqueur maker founded in 1911 in Forcoli, in the Valdera, in the province of Pisa, by Leonello Morelli. The catalog now has more than a hundred products, and a museum opened in 2017 on the historic site displays old labels and bottles.
