Valfrutta Borlotti Beans – Canned

A pasta e fagioli ready without soaking the night before

Dried beans take hours of soaking and cooking. These Valfrutta borlotti are canned: you open, you rinse, and they go straight into the soup or the pan, meaty and tender.

What you'll taste

• Texture: the skin holds, the flesh gives way under the fork.

How to use it

• In pasta e fagioli, the pasta and bean soup: garlic and rosemary in olive oil, the beans, a third of them mashed to thicken, then ditalini.
• In a Tuscan ribollita, with stale bread and black cabbage.
• Warm, with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and a few fried sage leaves.

Where it comes from

Valfrutta is a brand of Conserve Italia, an agricultural cooperative group from Emilia-Romagna owned by its producers. The movement began in 1966 with the CALPO consortium, and Conserve Italia was founded in 1976. The brand has been listed since 2025 in the register of historic brands of national interest.
